Our Approach

ESE is born to transfer polymer research and technology to help solve industry problems. Our aim is to help companies and institutions reduce their environmental impact on certain compounds and to help recycle those of value.

Our approach involves the design and fabrication of polymers using a molecular imprinting technique (MIP) that leaves cavities in the polymer matrix with an affinity for a chosen “template” molecule. Our research team has tested this new approach for a series of compounds, including rhenium, yttrium, scandium, pesticides and other compounds in the defence area.

We aim to provide design and proof of concept manufacturing services to produce bespoke and tailored polymers to meet our customers’ needs.

We want to talk to you first to understand your problems, your industry and how you work. By having a conversation, we gather as much information as possible with the aim of devising a tailor-made solution for your problem. The ESE team will then carry out a proof of concept/feasibility study for your specific analyte of interest, whether that may be rare earth metal, pesticide or any other compound.

We offer a bespoke service and process for whatever problem you may have. Speak to us today and see how we can help.
