James Disley holds a degree in Forensic Science (first class) and a PhD in Chemistry where he developed research into protective materials for chemical warfare agents. In early 2023, he presented at an international conference in Japan hosted by SPIE and in late 2023, won the Research Excellence Post Doctoral Research grant.

James is currently working on developing filters for pesticides within water. During 2024, James was part of the research group that secured a £130,000 grant from CERAS to develop filters for nitrates and ammonium.

James’ specialities include: Analytical Chemistry, GC-MS, Material Science and Forensic Chemistry.
