Following a successful award, we are pleased to offer a fully funded MSc to be developed at the School of Chemistry of the University of Lincoln on the topic of recycling and decontamination.
We are looking for a home (UK) graduate with a degree in Chemistry or Chemistry-based subjects who will be able to help develop a new set of materials for recycling and decontamination. The successful candidate will be integrated into the structure of our new Commercial Venture, Environmental Selective Extractions (ESE) and will work to obtain commercial products.
The grant offers full home fees and a monthly stipend of £1000 for 12 months. The start is aimed at February 2023. If you are interested, please contact Dr Jose Gonzalez-Rodriguez by email at jgonzalezrodriguez@lincoln.ac.uk attaching your CV.
Rationale: Recycling, re-trapping and reuse of some compounds of interest is a high priority in the circular economy agenda. There is a strong push to obtain elements, traditionally obtained through mining operations, through alternative technologies. There is also a need to actively decontaminate effluents from industry and/or agricultural activities that pollute our rivers.
